The Town of Brewster seeks a collaborative professional to serve as the Town’s Housing Program Assistant. This position is responsible for performing professional, technical, and administrative work in providing support services for housing-related programs, projects, and activities.
Under the direction of the Housing Coordinator the position assists in compiling housing information and creating materials such as FAQ/fact sheets, housing memos, and program support documents. Conducts outreach to the community regarding housing programs and opportunities, including maintaining and updating community outreach lists, website postings, and creating flyers. With guidance from the Housing Coordinator, the Housing Program Assistant administers various housing assistance programs. Responds to questions and requests for information and assistance from the public and other Town departments. Collaborates with local housing organizations and neighboring Towns.
Associate Degree in Government, Planning, Business, Social Services or related field and a minimum of one year of experience in housing, planning, human services or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. This is a benefited part-time 24 hours a week position, covered under the Town’s Personnel By-Law Agreement, with a starting pay rate of $30.70-$34.56 per hour, starting pay dependent on qualifications and experience. Benefits package includes health insurance and paid time off.
