Location: Champlin, MN


Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 am – 5 pm (flexible start time, 40 hours per week)


Pay: $70,000 – $115,000 per year (DOE)

Duties of the field service technician:

  • Install and troubleshoot low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, and control systems
  • Provide technical support for field startups, warranty claims, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and configure control systems using PLC/HMI controls
  • Travel offsite for installations, startups, and maintenance (including occasional overnight and off-hours work)
  • Perform product testing and document results
  • Assist with redline drawing updates
  • Maintain a professional image in all communications
  • Stay current with product and code updates


Requirements of the field service technician:

  • 3+ years of experience in a field service role or electrical equipment testing
  • Experience programming PLCs and HMIs
  • Understanding of 3-phase power systems, power distribution, AC/DC voltage circuits, and troubleshooting
  • Training in electrical theory and technologies
  • Diesel power generation controls experience preferred
  • Strong background in electrical power, including low and medium voltage
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid U.S. passport for international travel
