Position Overview

We’re seeking a litigation-ready Associate Attorney with strong attention to detail, a commitment to client advocacy, and a desire to grow within employment law.

The ideal candidate has experience handling plaintiff-only employment law claims, including:

  • Discrimination and retaliation
  • Whistleblower protection
  • Workers’ compensation retaliation
  • Failure to accommodate (ADA)
  • FMLA and pregnancy rights
  • Wage and hour violations
  • Wrongful termination under state and federal statutes

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in employment matters and provide legal counsel and advocacy in civil proceedings.
  • Manage a caseload from pre-suit through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, draft complaints, pleadings, and motions.
  • Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • File legal documents in state and federal portals.
  • Negotiate settlements and attend conferences.
  • Collaborate with supervising attorneys on legal strategies.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 1–3 years of litigation experience preferred (new attorneys with relevant clinic or clerkship experience are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Passion for advocacy and client service.
  • Employment law or civil litigation experience preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
