Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with credentials in both Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) and school-based practice is needed to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting. This contract position, based in Trussville, AL, offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language services throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, designing and implementing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with teachers and families, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support students communication development and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- SLP certification/license to practice in school settings.
- Experience working with K-12 students across diverse caseloads.
- Ability to develop and modify therapy strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with educators, families, and related service providers.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and guidelines governing educational speech services.
