Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 1.5 years of experience and prior travel experience, with a day shift Monday-Friday schedule.

• Hospital Operating Room setting
\n
• Day shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
\n
• On-call responsibilities required
\n
• Required specialty experience includes: Orthopedics, General Surgery, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology
\n
• Experience with Da Vinci Robotics, Endovascular, and Ophthalmology procedures is a plus
\n
• Charting is done in Epic (experience preferred)
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active TX or Compact RN license currently in hand
\n
• BLS certification required
\n
• Minimum 1.5 years of OR nursing experience
\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required
\n
• Proficiency across multiple OR specialties: Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology
\n
• Candidates must reside outside of the following TX counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
\n
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
\n

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
\n
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
\n
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
\n
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
\n
• Travel pairs or group placements are not accepted for this position
