American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a large Level I Trauma Academic Medical Center, requiring TNCC, ACLS, and BLS with a minimum of 1.5 years of ED experience.

- Emergency Department (ED) unit within a large, short-term acute care hospital with 1,500+ staffed beds \n
- Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center environment \n
- Average patient ratio of 1:6 \n
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Floating required to other campuses and ED observation to meet facility needs \n
- Block scheduling can be accommodated \n
- Charting in Epic \n
- Travelers are not assigned to trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units \n
- \n
- Active CT or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted) \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC \n
- Minimum 1.5 years of ED experience from a comparable hospital setting; 2 years preferred \n
- Level I Trauma Center experience required at a large facility \n
- No prior disciplinary history on nursing license \n

- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position \n
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted \n
- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler \n
- RTO of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; RTO exceeding 7 days requires manager approval \n
- Weekend call-out policy: any missed weekend shift must be made up on another weekend within the following 6-week scheduling period \n
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted \n
- COVID vaccination exemptions are considered for religious or medical reasons only \n
- Travelers are required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed \n
