Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, Impella and CRRT/NXStage proficiency, and Epic EMR experience.

Details\n

• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
\n
• Patient ratio is 1:2, with occasional flex to 1:3
\n
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• Floating required to all ICUs and may include the ED or PACU to care for ICU-level patients; occasional float to MS/PCU units with a 1:4 ratio
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA Pumps, Servo I Ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis Machines, Edwards Lifesciences Cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Stations, and Veratron Bladder Scanners
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Louisiana (LA) or Compact RN license required
\n
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
\n
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; CVICU experience highly preferred
\n
• Impella experience required
\n
• CRRT/NXStage experience required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months required for consideration
\n
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
\n
• Know your N95 mask size prior to starting
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Nurses are responsible for all lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts
\n
• CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for $100 if not already held
\n
• Nurses are expected to care for isolation patients, including any potential COVID-19 cases
\n
• RTO is limited to 5 days total for the duration of the contract
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
\n
• Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
\n
