Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a night shift travel contract in Urbana, IL, requiring an IL RN license and Epic EMR experience.

  • Position is in a Level 1 Trauma hospital NICU
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • \n
  • 12-hour shifts with no on-call requirements
  • \n
  • 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • \n
  • Holiday coverage required every other holiday
  • \n
  • No floating requirements
  • \n
  • Candidate interviews are conducted by the facility leader
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • \n
  • Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU or relevant nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • \n
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • \n

  • Monitors intake and output for neonatal patient assignments
  • \n
  • Supports breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
  • \n
  • Administers medications using barcode scanning technology
  • \n
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary rounds and patient reporting
  • \n
  • Maintains accurate nursing documentation to support the healthcare team
  • \n
  • RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
  • \n
  • Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after reaching the 1-year limit
