American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a DC license, required certifications, and two years of acute care OR experience for a 9-week contract.

- Work in an operating room setting within a hospital \n
- 10-hour day shifts, 0700-1730 \n
- On-call required for nights, weekends, and holidays \n
- No local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility \n
- \n
- Active DC RN license in hand \n
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program \n
- Two years of recent acute care OR experience in a US hospital required \n
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only) \n
- CPI certification mandated \n
- BSN highly desired \n
- Must provide Social Security Number, driver’s license, and two professional manager or supervisor references from the past twelve months \n
- No pending license accepted for consideration \n

- Responsible for scrubbing and circulating during operative procedures \n
- Prepares the operating room, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all are functional and available \n
- Coordinates with team members to assess, plan, and implement intraoperative care \n
- Serves as a communication liaison for patients, families, and the surgical team \n
- Adheres to standards and aseptic techniques \n
- Holiday coverage required \n
- Must comply with work environment mandates including COVID and flu vaccination requirements \n
