Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced L&D RN for a night shift travel contract at a short-term acute care hospital in Portland, OR, with Epic EMR experience required and multi-facility floating expected.

  • Labor & Delivery unit at a 418-bed short-term acute care hospital in Portland, OR
  • \n
  • Patient ratios of 1:1 for laboring patients or 1:3 for mother-baby couplets
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • \n
  • Every other weekend required
  • \n
  • On-call required when a shift is not available
  • \n
  • Floating between units within the facility is expected based on unit needs
  • \n
  • Travelers may be floated to other facilities across Oregon, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
  • \n
  • Charting via Epic (experience required)
  • \n
  • No parking fee
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active Oregon RN license required
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification required
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • A personal vehicle is required for this assignment
  • \n
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • \n
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • \n

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Scrubs are provided for L&D
  • \n
  • Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
  • \n
  • Former permanent employees of this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • \n
  • Minimal RTO is expected for this position; a few days may be approved, but significant RTO requests may impact eligibility
  • \n
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
