American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license

Details\n

  • Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
  • \n
  • Position is located in a hospital NICU setting
  • \n
  • Neonatal patient population, including monitoring intake/output and supporting breastfeeding initiation
  • \n
  • 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required
  • \n
  • Holiday coverage required on an every-other basis
  • \n
  • No floating requirements
  • \n
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • \n
  • Current certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and NRP (American Heart Association)
  • \n
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • \n
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • \n
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • Responsibilities include monitoring neonatal intake and output, assisting mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care, administering medications via barcode scanning, and reporting during multidisciplinary rounds
  • \n
  • Candidate interviews are conducted by a Carle Health leader
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • \n
  • RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
  • \n
  • Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
