Travel Requirements
50% travel is required, primarily within the assigned work area. Travel will generally be from home or office location to specific project sites for job walks, tailboards, customer meetings, etc.
Key Requirements
- 3 years of customer-facing experience
- Detail-oriented and meticulous in documentation, work planning, training, and safety
- Accountable and a self-starter
Equipment Provided
The client will provide PPE, laptop, work cellphone, docking station, and relevant ergonomic equipment for remote work. In-office work will be managed via hotel stations. Mileage and meal reimbursements are available with prior client manager approval.
Position Summary
The position focuses on customer communications and outreach, addressing customer concerns regarding System Hardening and Undergrounding projects. Collaboration with a team of specialists and the local Regional Service Management Team is essential.
Regular travel is required, with occasional travel to San Ramon for quarterly staff meetings or program trainings. When not in the field, work will primarily be from home and the local office, with monthly or quarterly team meetings as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Become a subject matter expert on the System Hardening and Undergrounding Program
- Execute comprehensive customer outreach in coordination with partnering organizations
- Collect, coordinate, organize, and deliver outreach plans and deliverables timely
- Utilize resources like Google Earth, GIS, CC&B, SAP for outreach preparation
- Develop strong working relationships with project managers and other stakeholders
- Coordinate input from various teams to develop local tactical plans
- Strategize and develop customized outreach plans for specific projects
- Educate internal and external project crews on customer concerns
- Manage complex customer concerns promptly and thoroughly
- Facilitate customer escalations including legal claims and restoration efforts
- Document customer communications consistently
- Coordinate and document outreach completion, including mailing, calls, meetings, and canvassing
- Attend RSM meetings to update on key projects and customer escalations
- Develop and host community presentations and other efforts to educate customers proactively
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 4 years of experience in customer service, program management, project management, gas/electric construction, or energy efficiency sales/service
- Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain one by the first day of employment
