Job Description:
- We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Inventory Specialist for a temporary assignment.
- This role requires someone who can work independently and take ownership of inventory-related tasks within a maintenance environment.
- The ideal candidate would ensure accurate and efficient tracking of parts and supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for maintenance parts and supplies.
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or excesses.
- Organize, label, and ensure proper storage of inventory items.
- Track and document inventory movements, including usage and restocking.
- Update and maintain inventory data in the inventory management system.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in record-keeping.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems, ERP software, or spreadsheet-based tracking.
- Ability to perform regular cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Basic understanding of maintenance parts and supplies is a plus.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Proactive and self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with inventory control or stockroom operations, preferably in a maintenance or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or Excel-based tracking systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Associate degree or technical training in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, stockroom, or warehouse operations.
- Prior experience in a maintenance or industrial environment strongly preferred.
- Experience in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel is required.
