Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-semester contract position is available for a School Social Worker to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a K-12 school setting located in Austin, Minnesota.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans.
- Connecting students and families with munity resources and support services.
- Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress related to social and emotional well-being.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintaining appropriate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified social worker with experience in school settings preferred.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development and mental health issues.
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong munication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with educational systems and munity resources within Minnesota.
