\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Job Details\n

• Location: Show Low, Arizona 85901\n
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Cardiac Stepdown / Med Surg Progressive Care Unit (PCU)\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)\n
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts\n
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed\n
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (nights: Friday & Saturday)\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860–$2000 per week\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state; willing to wait for license submission)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry and Medical Surgical (Med Surg) acute care (2 years preferred)\n
• Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS\n
• Proficiency with cardiac medications (e.g., Cardizem, amiodarone, bumex, Lasix, integrillin, octreotide, protonix)\n
• Ability to float to all Med Surg units as needed\n
• Experience with electronic charting systems (Allscripts - Sunrise preferred)\n

\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in an 18-bed Cardiac Stepdown/Telemetry unit, including 6 PCU-capable beds\n
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; document interpretations every 4 hours or as needed\n
• Administer cardiac and acute care medications according to protocol\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and support staff\n
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 (Med Surg) and 1:3 (PCU/Stepdown)\n
• Participate in orientation with a preceptor and ongoing professional development opportunities\n
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as AMI, Stroke/TIA, Pneumonia, Renal (dialysis), Afib RVR, SIRS, and Diabetes Mellitus\n
• Maintain infection control standards, especially when caring for COVID-19 patients in a mixed unit\n
