Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Performs general nuclear medicine examinations, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital-based, acute care environment
\n
• Conducts nuclear medicine quality control measures and carries out patient exams and procedures as requested by medical staff
\n
• Assists radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
\n
• Completes documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
\n
• Verifies written and electronic orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of nuclear medicine exams
\n
• Completes appropriate documentation for the administration, receipt, return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations
\n

Required Qualifications\n

\n
• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Allied Health Education program or equivalent
\n
• Active ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification
\n
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
\n
• Ability to work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends, after-hours shifts, and on-call as needed
\n

Preferred Experience / Skills\n

\n
• Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist
\n
• Strong ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while managing multiple deadlines in a busy, stressful environment
\n
