Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Per Diem opportunities are available for experienced pharmacists seeking to support inpatient hospital care in Batesville, AR. This role is ideal for licensed clinical pharmacists with a solid background in hospital pharmacy, ready to provide critical medication management and clinical expertise on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders for inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Monitor allergies, drug interactions, dosing, and therapeutic appropriateness.
- Enter and audit orders in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Prepare and pound medications, including sterile and hazardous products.
- Oversee technician-prepared medications, ensuring pliance with protocols.
- Provide clinical pharmacy services such as renal dosing, TPN, and pharmacokinetics.
- Deliver specialized support in areas like NICU, oncology, cardiology, and surgery.
- Educate patients and healthcare professionals on drug information.
- Supervise technician workflows and maintain regulatory pliance.
- Participate in quality assurance, controlled substance monitoring, and in-service education.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensing to practice pharmacy in Arkansas is required.
- Hospital pharmacy experience is essential.
- Preferably 2-3 years of hospital experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge in inpatient medication management.
Schedule and Location:
- Per Diem (PRN) role covering 1st to 3rd shifts, including PTO and vacation coverage.
- Position based in Batesville, AR at a 24/7 inpatient hospital pharmacy.
