Dish Room & Utility Food Service Worker

Our client, a large-scale food service operation, is seeking a Dish Room & Utility Food Service Worker to join their team. As a Dish Room & Utility Food Service Worker, you will be part of the food service support team, ensuring smooth and sanitary operations in a busy dining environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Dish Room & Utility Food Service Worker

Location: Marquette, MI

Pay Range: $15.79 per Hour

Shift: Variable shifts, including afternoons and weekend shifts; typical work hours are Sunday-Saturday, with shift start times between the hours of 7:00 am and 1:00 pm

What's the Job?

• Perform warewashing activities, including washing, sanitizing, sorting, and storing dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils
• Utilize manual dishwashing methods, power soakers, and high-temperature dish machines to ensure cleanliness and sanitation
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, inspect equipment, and organize storage spaces
• Support food service operations by assisting with customer service, cash handling, and catering activities
• Perform routine cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards in food service environments

What's Needed?

• Required Minimum Work Experience:  Six months' food service experience with emphasis on dish room sanitation.
• Knowledge of proper warewashing procedures and food service sanitation standards
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to switch tasks seamlessly
• Reliable and committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
