American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU night shift position in Ohio, requiring 2 years of PCU experience and active Epic proficiency.
Details- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in an acute care hospital setting
- Acute care ortho trauma unit serving PCU patients with diagnoses including SBO, falls, lacerations, pneumonia, head injuries, TBI, trauma, ileus, fistula, and fractures
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Epic EMR experience required
- Telemetry monitoring required
- Active OH or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Proficiency in IV starts, patient monitoring, lab interpretation, medication administration, and patient education
- Epic EMR experience required
- 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; co-worker references are not accepted
- Local candidates are accepted
- Former facility employees are eligible to return for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and cannot exceed 7 days for the contract duration
- Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after contract signing — candidates outside of Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or may be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
