Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum for a travel nursing job in Lander, Wyoming.

Job Description & Requirements

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Must have 2 years recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN & L&D/LDRP experience
  • Must have ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE & AWHONN certifications (Must be through the American Heart Association)
  • Must have WY RN or multi-state RN license
  • Candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census (This will only be as helping hands or as sitter)
  • Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years
  • Attends S T A B L E certification class if offered is NRP certified

MORE INFORMATION:

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment
  • Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluate patient care
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
  • Circulates during C/Sections, attends deliveries assisting the physician as needed
  • Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients
  • Attends the neonatal station in the C/Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post delivery
  • Able to identify necessary information to be communicated to physicians and patients
  • Experience can include taking care of OB/GYN patients (post-op hysterectomy), Antepartum care, Triage care, Labor and Delivery care, and Postpartum
