Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and self-sufficient Pharmacist to join our team. This role requires an experienced professional who can work independently and ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of pharmacy services in a rural hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all pharmacy operations within the facility.
- Review, prepare, and dispense medications accurately according to physician orders.
- Monitor patient medication therapies and provide appropriate recommendations to healthcare providers.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and inventory of pharmaceuticals.
- Provide patient education and counseling on medication use and side effects.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of hospital or critical access pharmacy experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage pharmacy operations solo.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
