Warehouse Clerk

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our team at our facility in Penn Yan, NY. This position plays an essential role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring that products are stored, handled, and shipped accurately and on time.


Main Functions: This role is responsible for performing various tasks related to the receiving, storing, and shipping of products in a warehouse setting, including inventory organization, order preparation, and stock management.
 
The expected compensation range for this position is: $21/hour + $.50 overnight shift differential when worked.

Shift:  8hr days 5 days a week 2pm-10pm

Responsibilities Related to the Job:

  • Coordinate KanPak Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliance, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction.

  • Participate in formulating and administering the division’s short- and long-range goals and objectives for business growth.

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify accuracy of items received, and ensure proper storage in designated locations.

  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely and accurate manner, following all order specifications.

  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by categorizing products and arranging stock to ensure easy access and optimal use of space.

  • Complete all necessary documentation related to inventory movements, shipping and receiving logs, and order forms.

  • Assist with conducting regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.

  • Inspect products for damage or defects during receiving and shipping; ensure only high-quality goods are sent to customers.

  • Follow warehouse safety procedures and practices, including proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety standards.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners (e.g., delivery drivers) to ensure smooth processing of shipments and orders.

  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Qualifications and Knowledge:


  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Six months to one year of warehouse experience preferred.

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification after hire.

Physical Activity Requirements:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, and hear. The employee frequently walks, climbs stairs, and uses hands to handle or feel objects. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
