The ELA/English & Science teachers will plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students in an alternate educational setting. The certified teacher in this position is responsible for helping to create a learning environment that provides specialized instruction for a small group of students who may need: 1:1 guidance and/or small group instruction, lessons & activities for a variety of learning styles, and someone who is patient and flexible.

Hours: School Day hours, approximately 8:15am-2:45pm hours per day, M-F, 1/2 lunch, hourly rates from $42-$44 depending on experience

Job Type: Part time

Responsibilities include:

• Help to develop lesson plans, assignments and activities that reflect individual needs, goals, and objectives.
• Establish and follow routine and schedule to provide maximum learning time.
• Establish and maintain an environment conducive to learning.
• Utilize appropriate curricula, materials, and behavioral techniques.
• Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner.
• Always supervise students in the classroom.
