Responsibilities:
- Make beds in patient discharge and on-call rooms according to cleaning protocols.
- Clean patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment per established procedures.
- Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness and maintenance issues; report concerns to the supervisor.
- Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap to ensure adequate supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of assigned cleaning equipment; report issues as needed.
- Remove trash from all designated areas promptly and safely.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
- Move and arrange furniture, equipment, and boxes as directed.
- Wash walls and spot-clean carpets as assigned.
- Communicate suggestions for improvements or concerns to the supervisor.
Shift: This position will work rotating days and shifts; 5am-1:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11a-7:30pm, 3p-11:30p, and 8:30p-5am. Will mainly work 5 days a week. Candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays. May be pulled to other shifts/days based on hospital needs.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
- Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
- May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored.
- No contact with medications is allowed.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
