Position Overview
The Virtual Outpatient Counselor provides individual telehealth counseling to adults seeking support for a range of mental health needs. This role involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing therapy, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care and positive client outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide individual telehealth counseling sessions focused on client-centered, evidence-based care.
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment updates, and discharge summaries.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support client care and continuity of services.
Uphold professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA and 42 CFR compliance).
Participate in supervision, case consultation, and agency-required training.
Demonstrate compassion, cultural humility, and respect for diversity in all client interactions.
Qualifications
Licensed in Nebraska as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP).
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
Experience providing individual mental health counseling to adults.
Familiarity with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, or similar.
Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working in a virtual environment.
Compensation
$60 per hour for direct client contact time.
$27 per hour for agency-required training time.
Flexible scheduling available (part-time or full-time).
