Virtual Outpatient Counselor (LIMHP) – Nebraska - Full-time / Part-time

Position Overview

The Virtual Outpatient Counselor provides individual telehealth counseling to adults seeking support for a range of mental health needs. This role involves clinical assessment, treatment planning, ongoing therapy, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care and positive client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual telehealth counseling sessions focused on client-centered, evidence-based care.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment updates, and discharge summaries.

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support client care and continuity of services.

• Uphold professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA and 42 CFR compliance).

• Participate in supervision, case consultation, and agency-required training.

• Demonstrate compassion, cultural humility, and respect for diversity in all client interactions.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Nebraska as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP).

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.

• Experience providing individual mental health counseling to adults.

• Familiarity with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, or similar.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

• Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working in a virtual environment.

Compensation

• $60 per hour for direct client contact time.

• $27 per hour for agency-required training time.

• Flexible scheduling available (part-time or full-time).
