Overview:

As an Assistant Manager at WSS, your Neighborhood Shoe Store, you'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills while overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and providing exceptional customer service. You will be the expert in product knowledge, guiding your team to deliver exceptional service. By promoting a culture of one-touch resolution, you'll empower your team to address customer needs quickly and effectively, ensuring a seamless and efficient shopping experience. Your leadership will foster a positive store culture, drive performance, and ensure both customers and team members feel valued.

 

Responsibilities:

  • As an Assistant Manager you will collaborate with management to develop sales strategies, analyze store data, and coach the team on customer service, store operations, and safety.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales, customer satisfaction, and team productivity.
  • Review KPIs with your team to identify trends, assess performance, and set action plans to achieve or exceed targets.
  • Focus on driving conversion by ensuring the team provides exceptional customer service, actively engages with shoppers, and identifies opportunities to increase sales.
  • Operational tasks include managing inventory, ensuring accurate cash handling, scheduling, time keeping, and budget adherence.
  • Recruit, train, and develop Supervisors and Team Members, providing coaching, recognition, and fostering teamwork.
  • Ensure the store stays clean and organized by working with Team Members to complete tasks on the sales floor, in the parking lot, and the back office.
  • The role requires the ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand or walk for 8 hours daily.
  • Employees must climb ladders, maneuver boxes, and communicate effectively in person and on the phone while performing essential tasks.
