As a Perioperative SCM Operations Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the OR, IR, and Cath Lab teams—making this an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage walk-in inventory from vendor reps and ensure accurate tracking. 

  • Maintain consignment levels with vendors to support surgical cases and reduce owned inventory. 

  • Adjust par levels to meet service needs while minimizing overstock. 

  • Reallocate excess or slow-moving items to other UPMC sites to reduce waste. 

  • Receive and document high-value products in the inventory system. 

  • Use Excel for inventory tracking; Access knowledge is a plus. 

  • Set up and label stock/non-stock items with correct storage and traceability. 

  • Monitor expiration dates monthly and redistribute items as needed. 

  • Perform cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies. 

  • Respond to urgent clinical supply needs and support cost-saving and standardization efforts. 

Schedule: This position will work Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM.  It will mainly work in the Operating Room (and working closely with the Surgeons) and cover Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab. 


Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma and 2 years of related experience Or Bachelor's degree 

  • Previous inventory control experience 

  • Strong organizational skills 

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Experience managing medical product inventories preferred 

 

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: 

  • Act 34
