Cardiology - Noninvasive Physician

Coverage Needed:

• Start Date: January 1, 2026
• End Date: June 30, 2026
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM)
• Weekend Call: Saturday 24-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 AM) and Sunday 24-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 AM)

Clinical Details:

• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Type of Cases: Standard Procedures
• Procedures Preferred: TEE, Stress Tests, Nuclear, Echo, EKG
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: One Nurse Practitioner per shift during the day; embedded in the hospitalist program
• Bed Size: 128
• Patients per Day: Census is 8-10, dependent on locum availability
• Call: No rounding required on weeknight call shifts; weekend call shifts require rounding with estimated 3 hours of patient contact for 10-15 patients
• Consults: 8-10 expected during night call on both weekdays and weekends
• Patients to the Cath Lab: Handed off to interventional cardiologists on call
• Common Admissions: CHF, arrythmias, some needing TPM
• Consultation in ER and floors, and follow up along with hospitalist, to CU if necessary

Requirements:

• Board Certified
• Active New York License
• COVID and Flu Vaccinations
• Local/ Drive In Candidate - Preferred
