Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 10:45pm-7:15am (Mon-Fri + rotating weekends)

This is a Maintenance role for a company in Fredericksburg, IA.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Comply with all GMP’s and Food Safety guidelines.
- Follow plant safety rules and wear appropriate safety equipment.
- Attend all Plant, Quality and Safety Trainings, as required.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, per work orders, to ensure that machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical building conditions do not deteriorate.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance and maintain records of scheduled procedures.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as needed.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions on checklists.
- Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Work with engineers to order, cut, assemble, and weld mezzanines, catwalks, and associated stairs.
- May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
- Maintain the upkeep of the building by doing repairs and renovations.
- Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts.
- Maintain forklifts, ammonia cooling systems, steam system, pump systems, electrical system, and boiler system.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- Candidates *MUST HAVE* a proven track record of several years of solid work history. Please include details of your work experience on your resume.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have at least 1-3 years of Maintenance experience.
- Must have mechanical experience.
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, welding (MIG & TIG), and fabrication.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
