Team Member Leader

Peoplelink Staffing has a growing client that is looking for Team Leader.
Shift: 1st 8a-4:30pm
Pay: $20

MUST HAVE:
Machine Operating AND Forklift AND Pallet Jack AND Lead/Supervisory experienceSUMMARYThis position serves as a Team Leader. The Team Leader (TL) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of multiple Team Members (TMs) within a shift. The TL ensures smooth, safe, and efficient daily operations by managing team performance, facilitating communication, and supporting the achievement of operational goals. The TL works closely with TMs and other leaders to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety:

• Supervise and enforce compliance with all safety guidelines and procedures among team members during the shift.
• Promptly address safety issues or incidents, ensure proper reporting, and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership and Management:

• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and evaluate the performance of Team Members within the shift.
• Provide coaching, training, and support to develop team skills and capabilities.
• Conduct regular team meetings and facilitate effective communication within the group.

Operations Oversight:

• Oversee materials receiving, handling, shipping, weighing, labeling, and documentation processes to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Ensure the work area is maintained according to 5S standards and promote a clean, organized environment.

Problem Solving and Reporting:

• Detect and resolve operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and submit reports to supervisors and coordinate with other departments as necessary

Collaboration and Other Duties

• Coordinate with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, reports, and correspondence accurately.
• Strong communication skills to effectively lead and interact with team members and other departments.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and manage measurements related to weights and quantities.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to analyze situations involving multiple variables and make sound decisions.
• Capable of understanding and executing written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions.

EQUIPMENT SKILLS

• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other industrial equipment safely is preferred.
• Ability to train team members on proper equipment use as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
• Frequently lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds, occasionally more.
• Exercise good judgment in determining when additional assistance is required to ensure safety.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed near moving mechanical parts and in areas without climate control.
• Responsible for enforcing the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and respirators as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in leadership or supervisory role preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or logistics environments is desirable.

NOTE: This position could be a problem for someone with an acute allergy condition.
