Position Details

Remote Call Center Representative - Must Live in Maryland

  • Project Start Date: November 12th, 2025, ...LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE!! Please do not delay.
  • Pay Rate: $18.50/hr.
  • ScPost a Jobhedule: Monday–Friday | 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM EST
  • Training: 3 weeks (M–F, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM EST)
  • Nesting Period: 4 weeks post-training, same schedule
  • Attendance: Perfect attendance is required for training and nesting. One absence may result in termination.
  • Exam Requirement: Must pass a State Policy Exam with a score of 80% or higher during training.
  • Work Hours: 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch)

Equipment Requirements (BYOD – Bring Your Own Device)

  • Computer: Desktop or laptop with
    • Intel Core i5 processor or higher- NO Chromebooks- allowed, they are not compatible with our system.
    • Minimum 8GB RAM and 256GB hard drive
    • Windows 10 or 11 (No Mac, Chromebook, iPads or Tablets)
    • USB Gen 2 or newer port (for wired headset)
    • RJ-45 connection for a wired internet setup
    • Functional webcam (required for training)
  • Headset: USB or headphone jack compatible headset with microphone
  • Internet Requirements:
    • Wired connection (no Wi-Fi, hotspots, or satellite) you must be able to hardwire in via ethernet.
    • Download speed: 100 Mbps minimum
    • Upload speed: 15 Mbps minimum

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 6 months of recent call center experience. High volume preferred
  • Experience in customer service, healthcare, human services, or call center environments
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable working with diverse and underserved populations

Job Responsibilities

As part of the Customer Support Center (CSC) for the Maryland Health Connection (MHC), you will assist individuals, families, small business employees, and brokers with eligibility, enrollment, and inquiries related to Medicaid and Qualified Health Plans. You will use the State's enrollment portal, CRM software, and other systems to ensure a high level of service for all Maryland consumers.
