Ready to lead a high-performing service team at a top-tier Caterpillar dealership?

Quinn Company is looking for a results-driven Service Manager to take ownership of our City of Industry service department. This is a key leadership role where you will directly impact our business by managing financial performance, developing a team of skilled technicians, and ensuring unparalleled customer satisfaction. We combine the agility of a local, family-owned company with the powerful resources of the global Caterpillar brand. If you excel at turning operational challenges into growth opportunities, we want to hear from you.

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $116,130 - $139,602

Your Impact as a Service Manager

Instead of a long checklist, here’s what success in this role looks like. You will:

  • Drive Business Performance: Own the service department's P&L. You'll manage budgets, control costs, and develop strategies to drive revenue and profitability for your branch.
  • Lead & Develop Your Team: Mentor, coach, and empower a team of service technicians. You'll be responsible for hiring, training, and appraising performance to build a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Champion the Customer Experience: Serve as the key point of contact for our customers. You’ll ensure clear communication, provide accurate quotes, and solve complex problems to build lasting relationships and customer loyalty.
  • Optimize Operations: Plan and direct the daily workflow to maximize shop efficiency, technician productivity, and job quality. You'll ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
  • Uphold a "Safety First" Culture: Be accountable for maintaining and promoting a safe work environment, ensuring all operations adhere to company policies and safety regulations.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience: 5+ years of leadership experience in a heavy equipment, diesel engine, or related industrial service environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage a P&L statement, create budgets, and make data-driven decisions to improve financial results.
  • Leadership Skills: A natural ability to inspire and manage teams, with a track record of improving employee satisfaction and performance.
  • Customer Focus: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a dedication to providing best-in-class service.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred, but we value extensive, relevant industry experience just as highly.

Work Environment: This is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role based in our City of Industry service facility. Your time will be spent balancing strategic planning with direct engagement with your team and customers on the shop floor. Occasional travel to customer sites and the ability to work some weekends to meet business demands is expected.
