Tax Manager - Public

Responsibilities:
• Manage the preparation and review of individual and corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee annual income tax provisions, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Provide strategic guidance on tax planning and reporting to minimize liabilities and maximize savings.
• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and other tools to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and oversee related filings.
• Conduct thorough reviews of tax documents and calculations to identify discrepancies and opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide tailored solutions.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise clients accordingly.
• Train and mentor less experienced staff to build expertise within the team.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on tax activities and outcomes to stakeholders.• Minimum of 7 years of experience in individual and corporate tax management.
• Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software and other tax preparation tools.
• Active CPA certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing individual and corporate income tax returns.
• Familiarity with sales tax compliance and reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client collaboration and team leadership.
