Mechanical HVAC Estimator

Mechanical Contractor specializing in HVAC construction, installation, and maintenance is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of a HVAC Estimator on a full time basis. The Estimator will report directly to the Director of Estimating, be responsible for assisting in developing cost estimates on hi-rise and interior projects, under the direct supervision of senior management.

Description:

• Review construction drawings / documents and scope of work to bid.
• Perform quantity takeoff and pricing for bidding purposes
• Obtain pricing for material and equipment that is to be utilized for each project
• Prepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
• Prepare RFI’s and other written correspondence to clients
• Maintain organized documentation, specifications, estimates, submittals and contract drawings.

Qualification:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an estimator in a HVAC/Mechanical company
• Ability to multi-task, work in a fast pace environment
• Must possess proper written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to pay close attention to detail and have good analytical and mathematical skills
