Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

• Enter and process accounts payable invoices and payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, post cash receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform daily data entry and maintain organized financial records.
• Assist with general ledger entries and journal postings.
• Support bank reconciliations and account reconciliations as needed.
• Collaborate with team members on reporting, month-end close, and ad hoc projects.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all accounting processes as a Staff Accountant.

Qualifications - Commensurate with Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with AP, AR, data entry, and invoice processing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software.
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable working fully onsite as a Staff Accountant.

Preferred:

• 4-8 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Experience with journal entries, accruals, and bank reconciliations.
• Prior exposure to month-end close and balance sheet analysis.
• CPA, CPA-eligible, or Big Four background is a plus.
• Critical thinker who can analyze data and identify process improvements as a Staff Accountant.
