TITLE: CDL A Driver-Part Time
DIVISION: Transportation
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt-Hourly

POSITION OVERVIEW
Gold Star Foods is seeking experienced Class A CDL Route Delivery Drivers to join our transportation team in Richmond, VA. This role offers local routes, home daily schedules, and weekends off — providing a strong work-life balance while contributing to a mission-driven organization that serves schools and communities across the country.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to deliver food products to K–12 schools.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Gold Star Foods with professionalism.
- Use a two-wheel dolly for deliveries to locations without loading docks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Keep the vehicle and delivery area clean, safe, and organized.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday through Friday (occasional layover possible)
- Day shifts start times between3:00 AM – 6:00 AM (working up to 30 hours per week)
- Routes vary by completion
- No weekends – enjoy a predictable schedule and home daily routes!
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) – 10-year review
- No prior felony convictions (required for K–12 school deliveries)
- TWIC card preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, required background, fingerprinting, and criminal history checks in accordance with K–12 school district requirements.
