About the Role:
As a Bowling Attendant at Santa Clara Resort LLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable and seamless bowling experience. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the bowling lanes and surrounding areas, as well as assisting guests with equipment and lane setup. Your role will involve providing excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and facilitating smooth game play. You will also support the operational aspects of the bowling center, including managing shoe rentals, scoring systems, and coordinating with other resort departments. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a welcoming and fun environment that encourages repeat visits and positive guest feedback.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of bowling rules and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Customer service experience in a hospitality or recreational setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a bowling center or similar recreational facility.
- Familiarity with electronic scoring systems and point-of-sale (POS) software.
- First aid and safety training certification.
- Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with lane assignments, shoe rentals, and equipment needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of bowling lanes, seating areas, and equipment.
- Operate and monitor electronic scoring systems, ensuring accuracy and resolving any technical issues.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance on game rules and lane etiquette to guests of all ages.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions, concerns, or complaints to ensure satisfaction.
- Coordinate with maintenance and management to report and address any equipment malfunctions or hazards.
- Manage cash transactions related to shoe rentals and game fees accurately and securely.
- Support promotional events and special activities within the bowling center as needed.
