Code Sensei (Instructors)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead coding sessions using Code Ninjas' curriculum (Scratch, JavaScript, Roblox, Minecraft modding, etc.)
Supervise and engage with kids ages 5–14 in a positive and encouraging manner
Provide personalized assistance as Ninjas progress through their coding paths
Create an energetic and fun atmosphere in the center
Help organize STEM activities, camps, and special events
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning space
Communicate with parents about their child’s progress
Support the Center Director with daily operations as needed

Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years old
Experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, coaching, babysitting, etc.)
Basic knowledge of programming concepts (Scratch, JavaScript, Python, or Roblox a plus)
Friendly, outgoing, and patient demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsible, punctual, and reliable
Willingness to learn the Code Ninjas curriculum and teaching methods

Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required):
Experience with game development platforms (e.g., Roblox Studio, Unity)
Robotics or STEM background
CPR/First Aid certification
Background in education, childcare, or computer science

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 16 years or older
• Background check

Preferred qualifications:

• Reliable transportation to and from work
