Construction Sales/Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new commercial construction projects through networking, relationship-building, and market research.
• Maintain and expand relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, and owners.
• Develop and present proposals, project capabilities, and value-driven solutions to clients.
• Track project opportunities through bid databases and industry connections.
• Attend industry events, pre-bid meetings, and client presentations to promote company capabilities and brand.

Estimating:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial ground-up and large remodeling projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and addenda to understand project scope and requirements.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure competitiveness and completeness.
• Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to validate project budgets and schedules.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options.
• Support bid strategy development and participate in post-bid reviews.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of combined experience in commercial construction estimating and business development.
• Proven success in selling and winning projects in the commercial ground-up and large renovation sectors.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
