Job Description
Our client is looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney with a strong background in medical malpractice or personal injury law to join their legal team. While the majority of the team operates remotely, there is certainly opportunity to work in office in Baltimore or Howard County. This role is ideal for mid-level associates with at least four years of relevant experience and excellent research, analytical, and writing skills. The position requires admission to the Maryland Bar or eligibility to be barred in the state.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Identify, research, and recommend expert witnesses for cases.
• Lead depositions and interview witnesses and experts to gather critical information.
• Assist in trial preparation, including acting as Second Chair during trials.
• Provide sound legal counsel and advice to clients on case strategies and outcomes.
• Draft and prepare motions, pleadings, and other essential legal documents.
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and evidence collection.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure successful case outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
• Minimum of four years of experience in medical malpractice or personal injury law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Admission to the Maryland Bar or eligibility to become barred in Maryland.
• Proficiency in civil litigation, including preparing motions and conducting discovery.
• Experience with depositions and trial preparation.
• Ability to effectively communicate and provide legal counsel to clients.
• Familiarity with legal procedures and standards for medical malpractice cases.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving favorable results.
