We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Springfield, Vermont. This role is a Contract to permanent position, offering the opportunity to grow within the organization while providing vital support to clients in need. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, organization, and empathy, ensuring every interaction is handled with care and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming calls and direct individuals to the appropriate departments, programs, or services.
• Assist clients in completing applications for essential resources such as housing, food, and fuel assistance.
• Communicate compassionately with clients facing crisis situations or challenges.
• Accurately input and manage client information in internal systems.
• Collaborate with caseworkers and program staff to ensure timely and effective client support.
• Perform administrative tasks including data entry, documentation, and follow-up communications.
• Uphold confidentiality standards and provide respectful service to all individuals.
• Ensure thorough understanding of organizational processes to guide clients effectively.
• Maintain a detail-oriented demeanor while handling sensitive client concerns.• Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call center environment.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
• Proficiency in basic office tasks such as data entry and documentation.
• Familiarity with handling inbound calls and directing clients to appropriate services.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and program staff.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing client data.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client privacy.
• Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
