Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to provide therapy for worker's compensation cases and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient physical therapy setting focusing on a variety of diagnoses, including worker's compensation injuries
• Conducts pre-employment physical assessments and walk-in visits for braces referred by onsite medical staff
• Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• May be required to float within the facility and to other nearby hospital locations as needed
• Patient caseload includes worker's comp, pre-employment screenings, and a diverse range of conditions
• Major responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and delivering therapy interventions for varied diagnoses
• May provide services as needed at affiliated hospital locations within scope of practice
• Orientation includes required modules completed onsite; hours are non-billable and based on assignment length
• Candidates must be able to work major holidays if scheduled during assignment; specific holiday coverage rules apply
• Perm staff must have been separated from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Return travelers deemed unable to return to one location must complete one assignment outside the system before rebooking

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
• GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Two supervisory references from managers or higher-level supervisors are highly preferred
• Must be able to submit required core documents and schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
