Job Description
Job Summary:
Produce machined parts through operation of CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC vertical mills and lathes
- Load and unload parts
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, and instructions
- Maintain a neat work area
- Other Shop duties as assigned
Skills:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, or various measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Possesses high quality standards and a commitment to excellence
- Must be able to work well independently and as a team
- Must be self-starter able to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Must possess a sense of urgency and accountability
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of machining experience preferred but not required
- High school degree or equivalent required
Job Detail:
- Full time with benefit or part time without benefits
- Swing shift 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM Monday – Thursday
- Wage $17.00-19.00 or DOE (plus shift differential)
Essential Functions:
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective toe footwear, when required
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Use of upper body, arms, and hands throughout the day
- Lifting 20-50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and occasionally more than 50 pounds
- Bending, stooping, and reaching overhead throughout the day to reach materials to move or pickup
