Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent experience and a current LA state license for a day shift position.
Responsibilities- Primarily outpatient physical therapy setting with occasional inpatient coverage
- Treats general orthopedic, neurologic, disability, and generalized weakness cases
- Approximately 10 patient visits per day
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Maroon, wine, or burgundy scrubs required
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during hurricane season with expectations to stay or provide relief coverage
- Uses EMR appropriate for therapy documentation (system not specified)
- Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of outpatient and occasional inpatient cases
- Participation in hurricane emergency preparedness may be required
- 5-day orientation provided with required modules completed during orientation hours
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency must have a 1-year separation before returning as travelers
- First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
- Current LA state PT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience
- Experience with general orthopedic, neurologic, disability, and generalized weakness cases required
- Candidates must reside at least 65 miles from the facility
- Must have Compact or LA license in hand or apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing
