RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 72 or 96 guaranteed hours bi-weekly
• Holiday and every other weekend requirements
• Block scheduling approved
• Voluntary call requirements
• Floating to other units required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
• 24-bed unit specializing in higher medical-surgical acuity
• Care for patients with stroke, seizures, post-operative neuro/spinal surgeries
• Manage level 2 trauma patients and level 1 trauma post-ICU care
• Handle diagnoses including DKA, renal failure, and general post-operative care
• Required skills include expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube management, and groin site management post-IR
• Navy scrub color requirement
• EMR system: Cerner
• Must be greater than 50 miles from facility (no local candidates accepted)
