Position Overview

HumanEdge Health is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment in Mound City, Missouri. The SLP will provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a long-term care or rehab setting.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans following regulatory and clinical practice standards

• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to guide clinical interventions

• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record

• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services as needed

• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care

• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate patient records

• Accurately document treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements

• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings

• Attend facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and continuing education

• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements

• Supervise and support CFY or student SLPs as needed

• Adhere to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards

Submission Requirements

• Minimum 1 year SLP experience – Required

• New grads accepted with Level II fieldwork experience

• LTC or Rehab experience – Required

• MO State License – Required

• CCC-certified SLP – Required

• 3 years experience holding active CCS – Preferred
