ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact State Licensure (required for New Hampshire nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma center or equivalent recent experience required
• Pediatric ICU or emergency department experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in the Emergency Department ICU Hold (Landing Zone)
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions in a fast-paced trauma setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive trauma and pediatric care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety and quality standards
• Support patients and families during acute medical events and emergencies
