We are seeking an experienced Snow and Ice Equipment Operator to join our winter operations team. Responsibilities
Safely operate snow removal equipment, including plow trucks, skid steers, loaders, and salt spreaders.
Execute efficient and thorough snow clearing and de-icing operations on commercial and residential properties.
Monitor and respond promptly to changing weather conditions and dispatch instructions.
Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure reliability and readiness.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatch to report progress, conditions, and any site concerns.
Maintain detailed records of services performed and materials used.
Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of awareness and responsibility.
Support snow teams as needed with hand shoveling, snow blower operation, or site inspections.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience operating snow removal equipment in commercial or municipal settings.
Proven ability to operate trucks with plows, skid steers, or loaders safely and efficiently.
Strong understanding of snow and ice management practices, including salt application rates and plowing techniques.
Must be dependable, punctual, and available for on-call work during snow events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Valid driver’s license (Chauffeur’s License preferred).
Ability to work outdoors in extreme winter weather conditions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay at $35.00/hour, with competitive rates based on experience and performance.
