Job Description:

PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for the cleaning and advanced painted finish of critical components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Mix paint as specified by company guidelines.

Determine proper paint consistency, color, and coat thickness.

Requires use of proper PPE at all times, including but not limited to: rubber boots, full protective suits, paint hoods, rubber gloves, and complete air filtration system.

Must be able to identify parts and determine the appropriate required coating process for each.

Read and complete work orders and QC documentation.

Assist with quotes when needed.

Operate fork lift/hoist/crane.

Must be able to read and interpret complex production drawings.

Receive and lead others on the instructions from department supervisor.

Must respond to changing production demands to support product flow and prioritization of work.

Hang and fasten parts as required.

Mask off areas that require no paint coverage.

Use jigs, fixtures and other assembly devices.

Use electrical and air powered hand tools such as power drills, air blower, and sanders.

Use and maintain spray painting equipment and power washing systems.

Meet all quality standards per the latest engineering specifications, ISO and OSHA requirements.

Work at different work stations as production needs require.

Ensures proper storage and usage of hazardous and flammable materials.

Effectively communicates with other departments regarding completed parts or product to facilitate on time shipment.

Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Paint and assemble products according to engineering specifications with the highest level of quality.

Train and develop the skills of new and current employees

Make suggestions for improvement to products and processes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
