Job description:

Medsurg nurses needed for July start dates - Excellent pay - 36 hours a week

• Pay is: $$2540 -$2580 per week depending on start date

   

• Must have BLS, and active IL, License.

   

• 9-bed Med-Surg unit with a typical census of 22–26 patients (target census 25, but can flex up or down).
• Mix of private and semi-private rooms.
• Nurse:patient ratio is 4–5:1 on days, 5–6:1 on nights.

• Patient population includes a wide range of medical diagnoses: GI bleeds, sepsis, cellulitis, CHF, COVID, comfort measures, osteomyelitis, elderly falls, DVT, pulmonary embolisms, and post-op recovery.

   

• RNs are expected to attempt IV starts; inpatient phlebotomy team is available for blood draws.
   
• Floating required to other Med/Surg-like units (not ICU or chemo).
   
• Charting system: EPIC.
